Pink October: our solidarity t-shirt, €10 donated to the League Against Cancer

Every year in October, pink takes over the city. Ribbons on jackets, illuminated monuments, charity runs: Pink October is the month when we talk about breast cancer, and above all, screening. This year, Beauséjour is joining in with a limited-edition Pink October t-shirt. For every t-shirt sold, €10 is donated to the Ligue contre le cancer.

What is Pink October?

Pink October is the annual breast cancer awareness campaign. For a month, associations, healthcare workers, brands, and individuals mobilize to remind us of one simple thing: breast cancer detected early is much easier to treat. You know the symbol: the pink ribbon.

Breast cancer in numbers

It is the most common cancer in women in France, with over 61,000 new cases recorded in 2023. According to the Ligue contre le cancer, when caught in time, nine out of ten women recover. That is why screening matters so much.

Screening, in practice

In France, all women aged 50 to 74 are invited to have a mammogram every two years, which is 100% covered by social security. Before 50, regular check-ups with a doctor, gynecologist, or midwife remain recommended. All official information is on the National Cancer Institute website. And if you have a mother, sister, or friend over 50, October is a good month to ask her how she is doing.

The Beauséjour Pink October t-shirt

Material and fit

It is made of 100% combed organic cotton jersey, with a comfortable fit and slightly dropped shoulders. The collar is 1x1 rib, and the sleeve and body hems have double topstitching. In short, a true Beauséjour t-shirt that will last well beyond October.

€10 donated to the Ligue contre le cancer

For every Pink October t-shirt sold, €10 goes to the Ligue contre le cancer to support the fight against breast cancer. The Ligue funds research, supports patients and their loved ones, and carries out prevention initiatives throughout France. Buying this t-shirt is a concrete way to help and to spread the message to those around you.

An edition limited to October
